This quality arm is the ceremonial version of the Canadian Infantry and Corps and Royal Marines - Officers sword (1897 pattern) and scabbard. It is crafted in accordance with the British MOD specifications.
In November 2005, WKC purchased the toolings of Wilkinson Sword Ltd.
. for production of various ceremonial swords.
- Blade:
- A forged stainless steel
blade. It is hardened to ca. 48-52° HRC Rockwell, then well-tempered and hand-polished. The blade is etched with the Canadian Coat of Arms. The acid-etched is so deep, that one can feel it with a fingernail. Dimensions ca. 825 mm x 6 x 25 mm.
- Guard:
- Pierced steel guard bearing the Royal cipher, hand-polished, nickel-plated guard. Cap made of brass, nickel-plated.
- Grip:
- Handle is covered with genuine shark skin with 3 silver wires.
- Scabbard:
- Your choice of a nickel-plated and hand-polished steel tube with 2 attachment rings, or real brown calf leather scabbard.
